Day 20, Thursday, July 27, 2006

45 this morning and still raining. Drove 225 miles to Whitehorse, YT. We're in the Yukon! Rained the whole trip. Couldn't see much with the low clouds and fog. Best part of today was a brief stop for a short trail walk to a waterfall, and another stop at Dawson Peaks Lodge along the way for lunch. All three dogs have had a few days of being sick on this trip, but never at the same time thankfully! Don't know if it's the water or what. But Isabella is in the third day now of being sick again. With all the associated messes. Had to stop three times along the road to let her out and then clean her up. Arrived in Whitehorse as planned. Again, not very pleased with campground conditions. Checked out several and not much difference. Drove around town a little and let dogs exercise in a pall park parking lot that was not muddy. Found a great fresh food market and enjoyed Alaskan King Crab Legs for dinner. Not real exciting today

We're really "up North" now.
