52 this morning in Haines. Warm by recent experience. But it was windy and raining and reminded us of home. Most places we have been have not had any wind lately - just rain. The rain let up a little and we packed for the trip to Skagway. We drove back to the bear viewing area hoping against the odds that bears would be out mid-day. They were not there. Drove back to the Alaska Ferry Dock and made the quick trip to Skagway. Rained all the way. It rained the rest of the day. Walked into town ( with raincoats on ), found a seafood restaurant for dinner, then back to the motor home for the night.
