Day 9, Sunday, July 16, 2006
Left Shelby at 11:15 am and drove 300 miles to Bow Valley Provincial Park in Canada. The border crossing was not even close to what we expected. The officer asked where we were from, why do we want to enter Canada, do we have any guns, and how much alcohol did we have in our possession. Whole thing took about one minute and we were on our way. Never asked about food, wood, drugs (prescriptions), dogs, rabies shots, etc. It's much cooler today than the high heat lately, but we are now in the Canadian Rockies. Very beautiful veiws today and this is just the first day in the country.
What a difference a day makes. Big change from yesterday!
