Day 3, Monday, July 10, 2006
Several short walks to observation points giving different views of the bridge. Still cloudy and some rain. Left at 11:00 stopping at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore along the southern shore of Lake Superior. We hiked the trails for about 3 hours going down from the cliffs to the sandy beach below. The dogs got another swim. Very beautiful! The pictures will speak for themselves. Drove on to Baraga State Park on the Keweenaw Bay of Lake Superior. Arrived at 6:30 pm driving a total of 258 miles for the day. Weather turned cooler, but sunny. Stayed light until almost 11:00 pm. Beautiful full moon rise over the Bay.

Still cool and wet here in the midwest. Will have to do a family gathering when you get home and you can fill in all the details of your trip over some wine and crown.
