Day 46, Tuesday, August 22, 2006

45 this morning in Cooper Landing at the Pricness Lodge R.V. park. Rained last night but we were sleeping. No rain now but looks like it will soon. Drove the 120 miles to Homer in heavy rain. Found a great camp site on the water with full services on the Homer Spit. Weather too bad to see or do anything. I'm utilizing the high-speed internet to update the blog and hopefully upload pictures while Ellen, Bruce, and Kathy drove down the spit to site see and shop. I'll finish this day's post later. Right now, 5:15 pm it has stopped raining and starting to clear up! We might get lucky yet again. I'm going to get some pictures. It did clear up late this afternoon and what a beautiful place Homer is. We built a fire on the beach (our campsite) and enjoyed the view. Got lucky again with the weather.

Bruce pleading with Kathy to stop "chortling". (private thing)

Blue Boy in Homer camp ground - not bad eh?
